James Charles “Jim” Bartle, of Friendship, formerly of Janesville, passed away at home on Feb. 1.

A visitation was held from 1–4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9 at the Rosman Uehling Kinzer Funeral Home in Beloit. Funeral services were at noon on Monday, Feb. 10 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville, where visitation continued from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial was at the Big Patch Cemetery, Smelser Township, Grant County. Memorials may be made to the James C. “Jim” Bartle Memorial Fund. Online condolences may be made at www.melbyfh.com.
