James (Jim) O’Kane, 75, of Rolling Ground passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison after succumbing to a nine-week hospitalization due to pancreatitis.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 5, 2014at 11 a.m. at St. Philip Catholic Church at Rolling Ground. Father Zachary Beya and Father Karl Voelker, S.J. concelebrated the funeral mass celebrating Jim’s life and burial was in the St. Philip’s Cemetery. Friends called at the church on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services.

He was a very avid supporter of the Society of Jesus, especially a special Jesuit Mission in Kenya; therefore memorials may be given to the Wisconsin Province of the Society of Jesus, 3400 West Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53208.
