James Theodore “Ted” Genthe, 43, Prospect, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 7. He was the husband of Jennifer (Almeida) Genthe.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at St. Anthony Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Family and friends were asked to meet directly at the church. Burial was at Prospect Cemetery.  Calling hours were from 4–8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect, Conn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trevor and Ashtyn Genthe Scholarship Fund, c/o Leslie Sporre, 37 Yogananda Street, Sandy Hook, CT 06482.
