Janet G. Postel, age 85 years, of Hillsboro, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014 at Heritage Manor in Elroy, Wis.

She was born on Sept. 14, 1929 to Alvan and Emma (Thompson) Straight in Hillsboro and graduated from the Hillsboro High School.

Janet worked for many years at Rayovac in Wonewoc.  She was also an avid walker, enjoyed gardening and reading and especially enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Nancy (Mike) Powers of St. Charles, Missouri, Tony (Carol) Williams of Mauston, Pam (Tom) Teal of Hillsboro and Billy Postel of Hillsboro; seven Grandchildren and fourteen Great Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her Parents and two brothers, Clinton and Austin Straight.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with Rev. Conrad Prell officiating.  Burial was in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Hillsboro.  Friends called at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For online information go to www.pichafuneralhomes.com
