On Feb. 24, 1955, the world greeted a most beautiful baby girl.  Raised in a large family in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, she grew to become an amazing woman.  To many family and friends, Jeanne Marie (Monroe) Mlsna will be remembered as…a nurturer of all creatures; four-legged and fuzzy or two-legged and curious.  A preserver of homegrown food and childhood fantasies, a mender of knees and broken hearts, a keeper of secrets and faith, a planter of seeds in the garden and in young minds, a herder of sheep and children, a maker of home and memories, a crafter of talents untamed and creativity abound, and a reader of books and troubled souls.

Our extra-special Grandma and Mom passed away on Dec. 7, 2014 at the Serenity House in Tomah, Wis.  Her journey ended peacefully and we know she is planting flowers and befriending critters in heaven.

We thank you all for being a part of her life.  Please join us for memorial funeral services on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the First Congregational Church in Hillsboro, Wisconsin.  A ‘Celebration of Jeanne’s Life’ will follow.

In the spirit of the season, and in sharing our Mom’s passion for books, we ask that instead of flowers you bring a children’s book to donate to the Lion’s Club Empty Stocking Christmas drive.

“What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls a butterfly.”

Survived by her loving family, Jacqui, Keith, Ira, Dane, Henry; Stacy, Adam, Oliver, and Finley; Peter, Lynzie, Thomas, Abby and Tony.

The Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family. For online information go to www.pichafuneralhomes.com
