JoAnn Mary Uppena, 65, of Potosi, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, rural Lancaster.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tennyson. Rev. Richard Leffler and Msgr. James Uppena officiated.  Burial was at St. Andrew Cemetery, Tennyson. Visitation was from 3–7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4 at St. Andrew Catholic Church. A 2:45 p.m. parish rosary was prayed. Visitation continued on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Potosi is assisting the family.
