John Huntington “Doc” Risic, 80, of Platteville, died on Thursday, Aug. 13 at UW Hospital and Clinics in Madison.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at the Platteville Free Methodist Church at a future date. A private family burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Platteville. In lieu of any plants and flowers, a John Huntington “Doc” Risic Memorial Fund has been established with proceeds going to some of John’s favorite charities.
