John W. Engelkes, 72, of Platteville died on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at his home in Elk Grove Twp. surrounded by his wife and three sons after a two year battle with cancer.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church, Platteville. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call from 5 – 8 p.m. Friday at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, or from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
