John W. Losic, age 67, a resident of Lisle, IL since 1957, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, IL.  He was born April 2, 1948 in Hillsboro, WI. 

Beloved husband of Anna (nee Brinker) Losic, whom he married July 10, 1971, loving father of Robert "Bob" Losic of Phoenix, AZ and Jack (Emaley) Losic of Bolingbrook, IL, adored grandfather of Lucas (Ashley), Taylor, Justin and Hannah Losic, devoted son of the late John and Elizabeth (nee Field) Losic, dear brother of Patricia (Ralph) Taylor of Warrenville, IL, Shirley (the late Peter) Bergum of Arcadia, WI and the late James (the late Inez) Losic, brother-in-law of Marie (the late Mark) Dick and Olive (Joe) Haley, fond uncle, great-uncle and friend of many.

John grew up in Lisle and was a 1966 graduate of Lisle High School. He was employed as a pipefitter by Reynolds Metals in McCook, IL from 1966 until his retirement in 1994 and later by International Truck & Engine in Melrose Park, IL from 1996-2010. He was a lifetime member of United Auto Workers (U.A.W.) Local Union #6 and Pipefitters Local Union #597, Chicago.  John attended Lisle Bible Church and was an avid race fan, especially drag racing. 

Visitation Saturday, Jan. 9, 9-10:30 a.m. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL.    

Funeral Services: Saturday, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. 

Interment: Lisle Cemetery, Lisle, IL.
