Joseph C. Lawinger, 89, of Platteville died Saturday, May 11, at Manor Care Health Services, Platteville.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville.  Rev. Dave Flanagan will officiate.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Platteville, where military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #42 and VFW Post #5274.  Friends may call from 4 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, or from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.  Memorials may be made to the Joseph C.
