Karen K. Orchard passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at her home in Chandler, Ariz.  She was born and raised in Shullsburg, the daughter of Clarence and Ulrika Milestone. She attended the University of Wisconsin Madison.  She married John Orchard in 1969 in Darlington.  They spent much of their life together, and raised their family, in Madison.  She moved to Arizona in 1997.
Karen leaves behind one daughter, Kim, son-in-law Abel, and granddaughter Elisa.  One son, Kevin, daughter-in-law Danielle and grandchildren Bryn and Grady.  Four sisters and one brother, and numerous other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two brothers.
Karen loved spending time with family and friends.  Her favorite times were spent holding her grandchildren and being with family at all types of gatherings. She enjoyed her career and especially the people she worked with. She had many fun times with her friends from Sun Lakes. She liked to travel, shop, and enjoyed her hometown teams, the Wisconsin Badgers, and Green Bay Packers.
Her smile and positive outlook will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church (1302 Clay Street, Darlington) with Rev. Craig Simenson officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, July 14, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. The Erickson Funeral Home in Shullsburg is serving the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.
