Larry Paul Carr, 74 of Rockford, IL died at 8:55 p.m. Monday July 15, 2013 in Swedish American Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born Feb. 28, 1939 in Vernon County, Wisconsin the son of Mr. and Mrs. William and Leelah (Bickel) Carr.  He graduated from Hillsboro High School class of 1956.  He married the former Beverly C. Nielson in Rockford, IL on Nov. 17, 1961.  Larry owned and operated Carr’s Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Inc.; retiring in 2007.  Member of the Masonic Lodge #166 for 45 years; Tebala Shrine Temple; Tebala Air Squadron; and the Moose Club in Rockford, IL.

Survivors include: wife Beverly; daughter Vicki (Bruce) Collins, all of Rockford, IL; sons Douglas P. Carr of California; Randy Carr, Michael Carr, both of Rockford, IL ; and Patrick Carr of Joliet, IL;  grandchildren Joey Brugman, Nickolas and Kelli Craney, Austin (Marilee) Carr, Shelby, Aliyah, Samatha, Brandon Carr; Ramona Davis, Damien Ceci; great grandson Levi Remington Carr; brother,  Keith (Priscilla) Carr of Rockford, IL; sister, Doris Calhoun of Onalaska, WI; numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by parents brother Ken Carr; Royal “Mack” Carr; Buford “Bud” Carr.

Funeral ceremonies were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013 in Anderson Long Klontz Funeral Home 6825 Weaver Rd., Rockford, IL with Chaplain Les McClelland officiating.  Cremation Rites to be accorded.  A visitation was held at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. July 19 with a Masonic Ceremony at 8 p.m.
