LaVerne C. Loken, age 88, of rural Darlington, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014, at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington. He was born Feb. 6, 1926 at his family’s home in Darlington, the son of Curtis and Clara (Siegenthaler) Loken.

Per LaVerne’s wishes private family services will be held. On Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. a celebration of LaVerne’s life along with a luncheon will be held for family, friends, and the public at Fayette United Methodist Church, 11013 County Road F in rural Darlington.
