Lawrence A. “Larry” Engels died Aug. 3, 2012, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 78. He was born Sept. 26, 1933, in Darlington, the son of Henry M. and Nell E. (O’Connor) Engels. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano, Texas. A private family graveside service was held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow, Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. In lieu of flowers.
