Leona (Lee) Bennett of Land O’Lakes, died on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. She was born on Novem- ber 16, 1925, the daughter of Margaret and Ralph Ahnen in Boscobel.

She was a flight instructor and operated the airport in Boscobel until 1958. At that time she took over the Gaway Airport in Land O'Lakes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harris Ben- nett, sister Lenice Ahnen Broadbent and her parents.

A memorial service will be held at the Land O’Lakes Bible Church when the snow melts and the ground thaws. A complete obituary will be published in the Boscobel Dial at a later date.
