Madonna Marie Tranel, age 80 of Monroe, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014.  She was born June 25, 1933 in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of George and Gertrude (Koenig) Frommelt.
    A Mass of Christian Burial was held at noon on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church in Monroe with Fr. Larry Bakke as Celebrant.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Monroe.
    Visitation was from 10:00 a.m. Monday until the time of Mass at the Church.
    Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home of Monroe is serving the family.
