Mary Alexander, age 70, of Shullsburg, passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, unexpectedly at her home. She was born April 17, 1943 at her family’s home in New Diggings Township, the daughter of Walter and Mary (McNeal) Shirley, Sr.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at O’Flahrity-Erickson Funeral Home, 235 North Judgement Street in Shullsburg with Rev. Jeffrey A. Meyer of Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg officiating. Burial was in Shawnee Cemetery in New Diggings Township. A visitation was held Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at O’Flahrity-Erickson Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.
