Mervyn “Jim” John Stark, 86, journeyed to his heavenly home, peacefully surrounded by the family he loved, on Sunday, January 1, 2017.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville.  Pastor Pamela Strakeljahn will officiate.  Friends may call from 4 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, or from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Platteville, immediately followed by a luncheon at First English Lutheran Church in Platteville.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mervyn “Jim” Stark Memorial Fund.  Online condolences may be made at www.melbyfh.com.
