Mildred I. Molitor, age 82 years, of Hillsboro and formerly of La Crosse, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014 at the Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

She was born on Sept. 15, 1932 to Isadore and Irmgard (Schmidt) Miller in Sauk City, Wisconsin.  She grew to adulthood in the Valton area and graduated from the Wonewoc High School.  Mildred married Rodney Molitor in 1960, but a tragic accident occurred a year later, with Rodney and their son, David Michael, being killed.

Mildred lived for many years in La Crosse, working as a waitress at the Holiday Inn and later in the Kwik Trip bakery.  She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing, of which she donated several items to those in need.  She also worked a lot as a volunteer in serving meals.

Survivors include her sisters, Corrine (Raymond) Mislivecek of Hillsboro, Lorrain (Donald) Lamke of Reedsburg, Jacquelin (James) Stekel of Hillsboro and Lois (John) Hickey of Rock Springs; a brother, Louis (Sally) Miller of Reedsburg; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rodney; and son, David Michael.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Hillsboro, with Rev. Isaac Fleming officiating.  Burial will be in the Valton Cemetery.  Friends called at the Church on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
