    Nancy L. McGlynn, age 67 of Gratiot passed away peacefully surrounded by those who loved her most on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015 at her home. She was born July 31, 1948 in Monroe the daughter of Fay and Lois (Fahey) Jones. Nancy graduated as valedictorian from Albany High School in 1966. She was united in marriage to David McGlynn on June 28, 1969 in Albany. Nancy grew up in Albany. Following her marriage to Dave she attended UW-Platteville where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education and later received her Masters Degree from UW-La Crosse in 2005. She taught Elementary Education in the Black Hawk school district for 37 years, retiring in 2009.
    Nancy is survived by her husband Dave at home; three sons: Dan (Cindy) McGlynn of Stoughton, Ben and Drew (Christina) McGlynn both of Gratiot; one brother: Greg (Luo Min) Jones of China; and seven grandsons: Nick, Tommy, Sean, Brady, Matthew, Noah, and Ethan McGlynn. She was preceded in death by her parents.
    Nancy enjoyed cruising with Dave in their classic cars. She spent her free time reading, doing crossword puzzles and golfing with her family and friends at the Darlington Country Club. Nancy loved watching her grandsons’ sporting events and being “Gofer” for Dave on service calls.  She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
    A funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Lafayette County Christian Center (11560 Center Hill Road, Darlington) with Rev. Mark Gilberts officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Gratiot. A visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main Street, Darlington) and from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church on Friday.     For those who prefer, a memorial fund has been established in Nancy’s name.
