Nina L. Dahl, age 83 of Monroe, died on Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Hospice Home in Monroe. Nina was born on Jan. 11, 1934 in Northome, Minn., the daughter of Leslie White and Gladys (Bonde) White Inabnit. She graduated from Monticello High School in 1952 and married Clifford Dahl on Dec. 4, 1954 in Deerfield. Following her marriage, Nina worked at Borg Instruments of Darlington, seasonally at Lands End and Swiss Colony. She was a member of the Lafayette County Genealogy Society and a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington. Nina loved to dance and listen to music especially at Turner Hall, and had fun searching for bargains at garage sales and thrift stores. She was an adventurous soul who loved traveling and exploring. She always looked forward to visiting with friends and family at local eateries.
She is survived by three children, Jim (Carmen) Dahl of South Wayne, Tom (Patricia) Dahl of McFarland, and Connie Pagel of Kamiah, Idaho; 10 grandchildren, Jamie (Cory) DeSmet, Lisa (Toby) Hagen, Renee Dahl, Zachary Dahl, Jonathan Dahl, Isaac Dahl, Emma Dahl, Sequoia Dahl, Brooke and Sierra Pagel; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lorraine Meier of Brodhead. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford, on May 31, 1992; a daughter, Linda Dahl; granddaughter, Hannah Dahl; two great grandsons, Emerson and Evan Johnson; and a son-in-law, James Pagel.
A celebration of Nina’s life  will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at 4:00 p.m., at the Monroe Bible Church with Pastor Dan Krahenbuhl officiating. A memorial gathering will follow in the Nehemiah Center of the Bible Church. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
