Reverend James R. Lins, age 75, entered into eternal life on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013. He became a resident of St. Mary’s Care Center in Madison, on April 23, 2012. He was born on June 9, 1938 in Spring Green, the son of John J. and Rose M. (Hetzel) Lins.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1240 Nachreiner Avenue in Plain, at 3:00 p.m. Most Reverend Robert C. Morlino, Bishop of Madison, was the celebrant with Fr. Mike Resop as homilist. Private burial services were held in St. Luke Cemetery in Plain. A visitation was held at St. Luke Catholic Church on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The O’Flahrity-Erickson Funeral Home in Shullsburg is serving the family.
