Richard “Dick” Niemeyer, 73 of Shullsburg, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, Iowa, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sept. 18, 1940 in Freeport, Ill. the son of Robert and Wildella (Whitson) Niemeyer.

Funeral service was at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 3 at Centenary United Methodist Church, Shullsburg. Friends called from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 2 at Furlong Funeral Home, Shullsburg and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Shullsburg, where military honors were presented. Cremation rites were accorded.
