Robert ‘Bob’ Gomer, husband of Anne, father of Richard and Maria, and professor emeritus at the University of Chicago, where he taught for nearly a half-century, died at his Hyde Park, Chicago, home on December 12, 2016, as a result of complications of Parkinson’s disease. He was 92.
