Robert D. “Bob” King, age 86, of Shullsburg, passed away on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, of natural causes at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa. He was born Feb. 7, 1927 at the family farm in Apple River, Ill., the son of Ilo and Eliza (Black) King.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 226 West Church Street in Shullsburg with Rev. Jeffrey A. Meyer officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Shullsburg. A visitation was held Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at O’Flahrity-Erickson Funeral Home, 235 North Judgement Street in Shullsburg.
