Shyrle Anne Sedgwick
1923 - 2020
Shryle Anne Sedgwick

“When I was born people were happy and smiling. I was the only one crying. When I died people were sad and crying. I was the only one happy and smiling” as I was ushered into the welcoming arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, my six sisters, Wilma (Roy) Horn, Nina (Ken) Callaway, Louella (Norm) Manning, June (Delbert) Lee, Avis (Howard)Weigel and Faye Wisdom; my son, Rick Manuell; my parents, Roy and Louella (Bausman) McLimans; and my husband, Homer.

A Celebration of Shyrle’s Life was actually held, if you will remember, as her 96th birthday party at the Platteville Senior Center on March 16, 2019, when over 100 friends and relatives shared their memories of good experiences with Shyrle, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma and Great-Great-Grandma. Tears were shed, actual hugs and kisses were enjoyed, pictures with Shyrle were snapped, lunch was served, a “Band of Sisters” entertained with music (SWTC President Jason Woods’ family), and some in attendance insist that some of Shyrle’s Angel sisters were present. We believe that was the way a “Celebration of Life” should be held! We hope that you agree. God’s Blessings and good health to all friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to Shyrle’s favorite charity, the Platteville Senior Center, 155 W. Lewis St., Platteville, WI 53818.

A complete obituary is in the November 4, 2020 issue of The Platteville Journal.
