Thomas John Mathews, Muscoda, was born March 10, 1927 in Boscobel to Edward and Florence (Bremmer) Mathews, and died at Upland Hills surrounded by his family on May 16, 2014. Thomas married his high school sweetheart, Charlotte West, on October 12, 1948 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Muscoda. They celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary last year.

Visitation will be held at the Godager Pratt Funeral Home in Muscoda on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. where the rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m.

Visitation on Thursday, May 22 will be at the funeral home from 9-10:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. A luncheon will be held at St. John’s gym following committal services in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials in Tom’s name be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 7818 Big Sky Drive, Suite 109, Madison, WI 53719 in lieu of flowers.
