Verlene A. McGowan, 80 of Darlington, died on Sunday, March 25, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. She was born on Jan. 24, 1932, in Monroe to Milford & Gertie (Komprood) Martin. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 104 E. Harriet St., Darlington, with Fr. Randy Budnar officiating.
