Virgil Monroe, 87, Ossian, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Ossian Senior Hospice in Ossian, Iowa.

    Visitation was held on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Schmitz-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Ossian and one hour before services at the church on Saturday. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Eldorado, Iowa, with Rev. Ginny Olson as the Officiant. Burial with Military Honors followed at First Lutheran Cemetery, rural Ossian, Iowa.
