Walter W. “Buck” Howery “The Keeper of the Bees”, age 75, of Darlington, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington. He was born on August 1, 1938 in Darlington the son of Robert and Marion (Van Matre) Howery.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 1302 Clay Street in Darlington with Rev. Marsha Swenson officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at Grace Lutheran Church.
