Wayne “Buck” Aurit, 76 of Benton, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at home surrounded by his family after several courageous battles with cancer. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at St. Patrick’s Church in Benton with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Buck was born on July 19, 1935, in Leadmine, the son of Joseph and Estella (Sheffer) Aurit. Full obituary in the December 22, 2011 issue of the Republican Journal.
