The Main Street Community Festival in Gays Mills is back again this year!  So, mark your calendars for Sunday, August 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the 212 Main Building.

The event is being held to raise money to maintain the historic community building at 212 Main Street—and also to celebrate Main Street and the entire Gays Mills Community—and to have fun!  There will be refreshments, music and games and activities for young and old. We will also have a silent auction with a variety of items donated from artists, local businesses and individuals.

This afternoon of fun for the whole family is to raise money to pay the utilities and other expenses of the building.  If you can donate an auction item or service (a piece of art, a couple of hours of yard work, or preparing meals, etc.), please call 608-735-4117 or e-mail to bobdana@mwt.net.  We also are looking for cash contributions to buy gift certificates from local businesses that will be available for bidding. If you’d like to help out before or during the festival, please let us know.

The 212 Main Building is getting a lot of use when space in the new Community Commerce Center is already booked or by users who like the features of the older building.  “A city without old buildings is like a man without a memory.”  Please help us preserve this historic treasure by supporting the Main Street Community Festival in Gays Mills on Sunday, Aug. 23.
