Who should decide who lives or who dies?

On September 22, 2015 the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act passed the U.S. House of Representatives. On that date the same bill was introduced and read twice in the U.S. Senate. The bill, which would have required doctors to take the same amount of life-saving measures for infants who survive abortion as they would with any other newborn baby, did not pass, but was instead referred to committee. The White House said President Obama would veto any such bill, which would work to prevent doctors from killing babies who survive an abortion and make it illegal to watch babies slowly die without providing them medical care.

I’m growing older each day. It is my hope and prayer that those with power to decide who may live and who should die are people who value and protect life.

Legislative information is available at house.gov and senate.gov.
