Potosi senior Chase Kruser was named WFCA honorable mention All-State as a wide receiver.

     Iowa–Grant senior Colin Conner and Potosi senior Chase Kruser were recently named honorable mention all-state by the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association on both sides of the ball.
     The 6-foot-6, 300-pound Conner was honored for both his play at offensive tackle and defensive end, while Kruser earned recognition as a wide receiver.
     Conner was named the SWAL Defensive Player of the Year, the SWAL co-Lineman of the Year, and first-team All-SWAL on both sides of the ball. He recorded 66 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss and three sacks.
     Kruser played receiver, running back and even quarterback for half the season for Potosi (10–2). The all-around talent caught 19 passes for 449 yards and 7 TDs. He rushed for a 963 yards and 15 TDs, and also completed 16 of 32 passes for  236 yards and 2 touchdowns.
     In 12 games Kruser amassed 2,030 total yards, scored 23 TDs, and made six interceptions and 38 total tackles on defense.
Lancaster senior offensive lineman Brock Snider was the only area player to earn first-team All-State honors by the WFCA after leading the Arrows to a 13–1 record and a runner-up finish in Division 5.
     Other are honorable mention All-State selections included: Lancaster’s Nate Tranel (QB), Tyler Glass (RB), Mitchell Schildgen (LB) and Andy Ryan (DB), Darlington’s Michael Ruf (DE) and Tanner Wiegel (RB), Black Hawks’s Tanner Sweeney (RB) and Seth Butler (DB) and Cuba City’s Eric Matuszak (P).
