GIRLS BASKETBALL: WIAA Regional Playoffs, Tuesday, Feb. 20, 7 p.m.
The road to state begins Tuesday night when the WIAA Girls Basketball playoffs begin throughout the state. Here is a look at the first round match-ups in our coverage area. Winners of Tuesday’s regional quarterfinals will play in the regional semifinal round Friday night. Regional finals are scheduled for Saturday night at the home of the highest remaining seed.

BOYS BASKETBALL: Dodgeville (8–10, 4–4) at Platteville (14–5, 6–2), Friday, 6:30 p.m.
Despite a 56–51 loss at Prairie du Chien last Friday night, the Platteville boys are primed to clinch at least a share of their first conference title since 1996–97 with a win over visiting Dodgeville Friday night. The Hillmen have won six of their past eight games, including 65–61 win at Dodgeville on Jan. 5. Junior Isaiah Oswald scored a team-high 16 points to lead Platteville in that win. Dodgeville senior Bryce Prochaska had 26 points and 12 boards in the loss.
