After three postponements and a cancellation, the Hillsboro baseball team finally opened the season Monday night.

The young Tigers, whose 14-man roster includes seven freshman, scored a 7–5 Scenic Bluffs victory at Royall.

No other information was available on the game at press time.

Today’s originally scheduled game at Bangor has already been postponed due to a scheduling conflict for Hillsboro and will be made up as part of a doubleheader on May 6.

The Tigers (1–0, 1–0 SBC) will return to action Monday at Wonewoc–Center.
