CINCINNATI – Second-year wide receiver/returner Alex Erickson continues to lead the Cincinnati Bengals in both receiving and returns this preseason.
The Darlington native hauled in three catches for a team-high 51 yards in the Bengals’ 23-17 loss to the Washington Redskins on Sunday, Aug. 27.
Erickson also had a kickoff return for 18 yards and two punt returns for seven yards in the game.
Through three preseason games, Erickson has made nine receptions for a team-best 144 yards, and he leads the team in kickoff returns, two for 57 yards, and punt returns, five for 19 yards.
Cincinnati closes the preseason at Indianapolis on Thursday, Aug. 31. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CST.
The Bengals’ cut down from the current 90-man roster to the season’s 53-man roster will take place by Saturday, Sept. 2.
