“Sam Hora played a big role in team scoring for us as our third runner,” said Hillsboro head coach Ben Leis. “Kelly Parish who continues to cut time week in and week out. On the guys side they every single one cut time. I can’t single anyone out because if I mention one I would have to mention them all. All in all, it was a good day.”

Despite the recent progress made by the Tigers, coach Leis knows his team still has plenty of work to do before the conference championships at New Lisbon on Oct. 16.

“Both teams have their work cut out for them when it comes to the conference meet, whether it’s team wise or trying to crack the top ten to make all conference individually,” said Leis.

Last Tuesday Hillsboro ran at the Westby Snowflake Invitational. Complete results of the meet were unavailable.

Hillsboro will return to action Saturday at the Brookwood Invitational before participating in the Holmen Invitational on Tuesday.
