It was close but no cigar twice in three of games dropped by the North Crawford girls basketball this past week. The Trojans have struggled on the court this year, currently ranking seventh of eight teams in the Ridge and Valley conference with a record of 3-9.

Against Wauzeka-Steuben last Thursday, Feb. 14, a Valentine’s Day victory was just out of reach for the North Crawford girls, who were outscored 57-51.

The Trojans were thoroughly defeated the next night by the Ithaca Bulldogs 67-38.

With time to prepare over the weekend, the Trojans again faced the Wauzeka-Steuben Hornets on Monday, Feb. 18. But try as they might, the Trojans could not overcome the Hornets. It was a tight 27-25 Wauzeka-Steuben victory in the end.

The Trojans see their finals games of the regular season tonight, Thursday, Feb. 21, at home against rivals Seneca, and this Saturday at 11 a.m. at Ithaca.
