The Seneca volleyball team rolled on last week, crushing a tough DeSoto team in three games—25-6, 25-17 and 25-23.

The victory all but assures the Ridge and Valley Conference Championship will involve the conference’s two undefeated teams Sneca and North Crawford, who played Tuesday after the Independent-Scout deadline.

How bad was it for the Pirates at the hands of the Indians last week? Pretty bad. Of the six points DeSoto scored in the first game, three came on missed Seneca serves.

Seneca’s veteran coach Dawn Ray called the game “almost flawless.”

Taylor Redman led Seneca in serving going 22-23 with two aces. Nicole Manders was 13-14 with two aces and Morgan Payne was 11-12 with two aces.

The Indians next game will be at home on Tuesday, Oct. 15, when they host the LaFarge Wildcats.
