Seneca then played De Soto, best of three sets. The Indians won the first set 25-18, and the second set 25-4.

Setter Nicky Trautsch had 12 assists and two aces.

Hitter Anya Aspenson had six kills and two aces, while Delaney Boland had four kills. Ava Payne had one block and two kills. Savanna Wallin had two kills and one ace.

Grace Check had 11 digs.

The Seneca girls only missed three serves all night at the Triangular.

“The back-row was low on defense and picked up a ton of balls,” coach Jessica Olson explained. “The back-row made it easy for our setter to get to the ball. Our setter did a great job getting the ball to all of our hitters. Our hitters hit all over the court and were smart about placing the ball. It was a great start to the season.”
