Belmont's Christensen named Great-8 Co-Player of the Year
Six Braves earn all-conference honors
Christensen
Belmont junior Riley Christensen was named the Great-8 Co-Player of the Year after leading the Braves to a 9–3 record and a 5–2 second-place finish in the Great 8 Conference.

Belmont made the switch to eight-player football this fall and it couldn’t have gone much better. The Braves finished 9–3 overall, second in the eight-team Great 8 Conference at 5–2 and advanced to the WIAA 8-player state semifinals.

Earlier this week six Braves were recognized with 11 all-conference selections for Belmont’s successful season.

Junior quarterback/linebacker Riley Christensen shared the league’s Player of the Year honor with Wausau Newman Catholic senior Joe Stephan after earning first-team All-Great 8 honors at offense utility and linebacker. He also received honorable mention for special teams.
