BOSCOBEL - For Boscobel’s sophomore wrestler (152#) Chase Beinborn, dreams of competing at State ended with a fourth place finish at Saturday’s sectional meet in Mineral Point.

Beinborn fell in the first round of competition to Joey Perrigo of Brookfield, who went on to place third in sectionals. Beinborn bounced back to take Cambridge’s Jeff Anderson. He fell in his final match to Gunnar Pederson of New Lisbon by decision, 5-4. Pederson went on to finish second in sectionals after falling to Max Maylor of Iowa-Grant Highland.

“Chase is a wrestler who dedicates himself to the sport on and off the mat,” said Head Coach Marcus Ingalls. “As his coach, it was hard to watch him lose two really close matches.”

Beinborn finishes the season with a 31-12 record. His season ended with him being ranked in the top 24 percent of wrestlers in the 152-pound weight class statewide.
