MUSCODA - This past Thursday night, the boys’ basketball team hosted Boscobel in a SWAL game. This was a game that Riverdale wanted to win badly, as they showed great passion from start to finish. Historically, this is a game that usually is quite exciting to watch, and that’s exactly what this game proved to be. The Chieftains have been working on a slight change in their offense and it really showed during the early minutes of the first half as they raced out to a 16-3 lead. Key shots were hit by Michael Schaefer, Dakota Fiebranz, and Ethan Haffner during the stretch with all members of the team playing great communicating defense. Boscobel fought their way back into the game slowly, but Riverdale still did what they had to do to keep the lead and went into halftime leading by seven points.

Riverdale showcased great energy and determination throughout the second half trying to will themselves to victory.
