Bulldog boys' take first
Kauffman sets new record

BOSCOBEL - The Boscobel track and field team was back in Fennimore on Thursday for an 11-team meet, with the boys’ team earning first place and the girls’ taking third.

For the boys’ team, Dakota Kauffman placed first in the 800-meter run with 2:01.78, setting a new meet record. Jordan Molzof took second and Jack Latham came in fifth.

Molzof took first in the 1,600-meter run, followed by Jack Latham in fourth. And Noah Toye earned the first place slot in the 3,200-meter run, while Daniel Lejman took fourth.

Brandon Mindahm, Cauy Isaacson, Seth Laxton, and Chase Kull took the number one spot on the 4x200-meter relay. The Bulldogs also took first in the 4x800-meter relay with the team of Britan Waterman, Laxton, Kyle Wetter, and Toye.

Mindham took second in the 200-meter dash. In the 400-meter dash, Kauffman earned second, followed by Cole Couey in fifth.

Gavin Bell placed third in the 110-meter hurdles and sixth in the 300-meter hurdles.

The team of Hali Cook, Hunter Drake, Tommy Monroe, and Ethan Lucas earned the fourth place finish in the 4x100-meter relay. Laxton, Kyle Wetter, Couey, and Isaacson came in fourth in the 4x400-meter relay.

Wyatt Roth placed fifth in the shot put and seventh in the discus. Dakota Frazier placed sixth in the pole vault and Cook sixth for the long jump.

On the ladies’ side, the Bulldogs made their presence felt in the longer runs. Boscobel took the top three slots in the girls’ 800-meter, with Mackenzie Kauffman in first, followed by Rachel Davis in second and Molly Pegram in third.

Kauffman and Davis repeated places in the 1,600-meter run, with Sydney Haines earning sixth place. And Faith Glasbrenner took second in the 3,200-meter run.

Glassbrenner, Pegram, Haines, and Abbey Manning placed first in the 4x800-meter relay.

Haines also took first in the pole vault, followed by Hallie Bell in fourth.

Grace Roth earned fourth in both the shot put and discus. Amanda Schmidt took fifth in both the long jump and triple jump.

Tianna Salzgeber earned sixth in the girls’ 100-meter hurdles.

Taking sixth in the 4x100-meter relay was the team of Hallie Christenson, Olivia Loos, Belen Santefe, and Mallory Knoble. Erin Beck, Leah Bloedow, Knoble and Casey Ostheimer were sixth in the 4x400-meter relay and Beck, Knoble, Ostheimer, and Bloedow placed seventh in the 4x200-meter relay.
