Unable to get much going on offense, the Boscobel football team couldn't hold back the flood. By halftime of a 42-0 SWAL win over Boscobel on Friday, the Redbirds led 35-0 as Brandon Hardyman scored three touchdowns.

All the Bulldogs could muster on offense was 54 total yards - 23 coming on a pass from James Marks to Tom Moravits - and three first downs.

Boscobel is now 0-5 on the season and 0-3 in the SWAL.

Hardyman got the scoring started with a 4-yard touch-down catch on a pass by Zach McArthur. The two hooked up later in the first half for a 22-yard scoring strike and another from 14 yards out. Also in the first half, Seth Rowe scored on a 19-yard run and Cedric Flesher ran for a 14-yard score.

The only scoring in the second half was on a 13-yard pass from McArthur to Mitchell Whalen.

For the game, Darlington rushed for 343 yards. Pac-ing the Redbirds on the ground was Rowe, who pounded out 133 yards. McArthur went 5-for-9 in the passing department and finished with 49 yards. As a team, Darlington compiled 15 first downs.

For Boscobel, Chase Varvil led the team in rushing with 33 yards on 11 carries.

The Bulldogs will go for their first win of the season at Fennimore on Friday.
