BOSCOBEL - The past week saw the Boscobel boys’ basketball team, with games in DeSoto on Monday, Jan. 23, at Mineral Point on Thursday, Jan. 25, and then headed to Wisconsin Heights on Monday, Jan. 30.

Victory over DeSoto

The Bulldogs scored a victory over DeSoto, 57-47, in a nonconference game.

“We played extremely well as a team,” said Head Coach Levi Esters. “During the first half, we only recorded six team turnovers, out rebounded our opponent by eight and went into halftime with a five-point lead, with senior Trevor Martin hitting a 3-pointer with 16 seconds to go in the half.

“It was really nice to see all of our boys working so well together and being involved in scoring, as eight players were able to do so. Our game plan was simple at DeSoto, we wanted to chew up as much clock as possible and take care of the basketball well. I would say that we executed the plan very well.”
