IowaGrant junior Brady Peat picked up career victory number 99 with a 48-second pin of Fennimores Connor Blaschke last Tuesday night.

MIFFLIN — A pair of Iowa–Grant/Highland wrestlers joined teammate Max Maylor in the 100-win club.
Iowa–Grant junior Brady Peat picked up his 100th career with a pin of Boscobel’s Jayden Alderson in Friday night’s 40–16 Southwestern Wisconsin Activities League dual meet victory over the visiting Bulldogs. Peat is 31–5 on the season and now has a career record of 100–28.

Sophomore Drew Hennessey scored an 8–0 major decision at 182 and the Panthers received five forfeits in the win.

Iowa–Grant/Highland improved to 7–3 overall and 3–2 in SWAL duals, with a make-up dual with Cuba City/Benton/Southwestern scheduled for Tuedsay night.

Senior Sawyer Sarbacker joined Maylor in the 100-win club at the Ithaca/Weston Invitational on Jan. 14.
Sarbacker, who is ranked number one in Division 3 at 120 pounds, received a forfeit victory Friday against Boscobel to improved to 32–1 on the season. He is now 110–34 for his career.

Maylor (32–1), who is ranked second in D3 at 152 pounds, picked up his 100th career victory at the Lancaster Invitational on Jan. 7. Since then he has won back-to-back Most Outstanding Wrestler awards at the Ithaca/Weston Invitational and the Sparta Invitational on Feb. 21.

Maylor won his 18th consecutive match with a third-period pin over Fennimore’s Cameron Allen in Iowa–Grant/Highland’s 48–25 SWAL dual meet loss to the host Golden Eagles last Tuesday night.

“One hundred career wins is quite an accomplishment, and Max has won two Most Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament awards this year” said Iowa–Grant/Highland head coach Ryan Allen. “I think those are some pretty awesome accolades and it shows how hard these guys have worked.”

Allen’s Panthers will now travel to Richland Center on Saturday for the annual SWC/SWAL Clash conference tournament. SWAL duals champion Fennimore is the favorite to repeat, but Mineral Point and SWC duals co-champion River Valley will give the Golden Eagles, ranked second in Division 3, a run for their money.

Allen’s Panthers may not have enough slots filled in their lineup to contend for the team title, but Sarbacker, Maylor and Peat will all be in contention for individual titles.
