Lady Bulldogs fall to top-seed Pointers
Thursday is Senior Night, Pink Night

BOSCOBEL - The Lady Bulldogs volleyball team traveled Tuesday night to face top seeded conference rival Mineral Point.
Boscobel took the loss, 0-3, but not without a fight. They earned 16-25 and 18-25 in the first two sets before losing momentum to fall in the third, 10-25.

The Lady Bulldogs head into their final match of the regular season against Riverdale on Thursday with a 7-17 record overall and 1-10 in conference. The Chieftains are currently 0-18 overall and 0-9 in conference.
“This should be pretty exciting,” said Coach Jeff Ostheimer. “These are two pretty evenly matched teams, which should make for a good game.”

Pink Night, Senior Night

Thursday is Pink Night. Fans are encouraged to participate in the breast cancer awareness event. Raffles are planned as a fundraiser.

Additionally, as the last home game of the season, Senior Night will be celebrated. Bulldog senior volleyball players and their parents will be honored at the game. The Lady Bulldogs have four members of this year's graduating class - Mackenzie Fisher (23), Jayden Molzof (12), Katelyn Wiegel (9), and Haley Bray (7).

Varsity play begins at 7:15 p.m., with JV and Varsity Reserve at 5:15.

WIAA tournament series

The playoff schedule begins with regionals, to be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18, Thursday, Oct. 20, and Saturday, Oct. 22. Sectional competitions will be held Thursday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 29. The state tournament will be held November 3-5 in Green Bay.

The Lady Bulldogs will face Iowa-Grant in the first round of playoffs at Iowa-Grant. If they win, they will face the winner of the Prairie du Chien vs. Darlington match on Thursday, Oct. 20.
