Isaiah Oswald
Sophomore Isaiah Oswald scored seven points in last Friday's loss to Mineral Point.

MINERAL POINT – Guards Chase Wendhausen and Isaac Lindsey teamed with center Jack Warrick to give host Mineral Point all the firepower it would need to shoot down Cuba City in a SWAL boys’ basketball game on Friday, Jan. 6.

Wendhausen dropped in a game-high 25 points while Lindsey poured in 19 and Warrick added 11 to lead the Pointers (6-3 overall, 3-1 SWAL) to a 65-48 decision over the Cubans (3-5, 1-3) in the conference clash at MPHS.

The Pointers build up a 31-21 advantage by the intermission, and then outscored Cuba City 34-27 in the second half to pull away from Coach Jerry Petigoue’s crew.
